I constantly get bored with my site themes. You have to remember though, the time spent on every redesign is time taken away from other fundamental business needs like marketing. I design myself, so I should really think about writing some articles about it like you've been. Also, I update my design every few months. I get bored easily, and like to keep fresh ideas on my sites.
